In September of 2006, Federal Communications Commission auctioned 90 MHZ of spectrum in the 2.1/1.7 GHz bands for the Advanced Wireless Services (AWS). STREAM WIRELESS offers Microwave Relocation and Spectrum Management Services for the new licensees so that spectrum can be cleared for the deployment. We perform a full range of Microwave Relocation and Spectrum Management services in several logical and sequential steps. These steps include:

We perform analyses for both 2.1 GHz commercial band and the 1.7 GHz government band to verify that both the uplink and downlink AWS bands are free from potential interference.

The role of STREAM WIRELESS as the spectrum manager for any AWS operator is one of total care. STREAM WIRELESS will develop a spectrum management template complete with the services to be performed and a scheduled time frame to ensure timely execution of those services. A spectrum map will be created to identify by market all available frequency bands and incumbent microwave paths subject to interference. These maps will be supported by a tracking database that will detail all services performed by market and by path (where relocation is required).
